Work is mainly figurative, representational and descriptive.
Life studies in watercolour & gouache
with some oils and acrylic on canvas
plus occasional other media.

Gesture, texture and pattern are particular interests
and working against the clock in a life class.
However, it is the actual process of 'mark-making' that affords most satisfaction .... simply manipulating the physical media is a source of endless fascination and pleasure.
In addition to life studies, other stimuli for work can include dreams, mythology and legend, and the atmospheres and moods evoked by seasons, climate, landscapes and nature.
